Job Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- legal right to work in the United States
- valid passport for unrestricted international travel
- pass full medical and background checks
- must be able to meet arm reach requirement of 208cm
- maintain impeccable grooming standards with no visible tattoos
- fluent in English
- willingness to attend paid training in Tokyo
- flexible availability for variable schedule including long-haul flights
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- college degree preferred
- fluent in English
- fluency in Japanese highly desired
- ability to meet arm reach requirement of 208cm on tiptoes
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to maintain grooming standards with no visible tattoos in uniform
- strong sense of responsibility and grace
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Ensure passenger safety and security by adhering to civil aviation and company regulations
- Conduct pre-flight safety inspections and provide safety demonstrations
- Handle in-flight emergencies calmly and efficiently
- Deliver signature Omotenashi service by anticipating and responding to passenger needs
- Serve authentic Japanese and international cuisine
- Maintain a calm and respectful cabin environment
- Act as a global ambassador for Japan Airlines' brand and values
