Job Requirements
- Some high school education or equivalent
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Flexible scheduling availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening
- Able to lift up to 15 lbs
- Able to bend, stretch, and twist
- Able to stand for long periods
Job Qualifications
- Some high school education or equivalent
- Basic mathematical skills applicable to cash handling
- Previous server experience preferred
- Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) technology preferred
- Proven teamwork skills
- Professional image that inspires trust and confidence
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
Job Duties
- Helps patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails and appetizers, suggesting courses, explaining chef specials, identifying appropriate wines, answering food preparation questions
- Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' selections, noting special dietary needs and special requests
- Keeps kitchen staff updated on meal timing
- Serves orders by delivering selections from bar and kitchen including accompaniments and condiments
- Responds to additional patron needs by inquiring and observing the dining process
- Maintains table setting by clearing completed courses, replenishing utensils and refilling water glasses, being alert to spills and special needs
- Handles payments by issuing bills, accepting payment, returning change or credit card slips
- Adheres to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect guests and establishment
