Job Requirements
- must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects
- occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, and risk of electric shock
Job Qualifications
- previous experience in a server or host role preferred
- knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine selections
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to adhere to health and safety standards
- team player with a positive attitude
- familiarity with responsible service of alcohol laws
Job Duties
- greet guests promptly and warmly
- anticipate business levels, and perform accordingly
- set the example of excellence in standards to other staff at all times
- efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner
- offer suggestions on daily specials and wine selections
- use guest names wherever possible, and be aware if they are celebrating a special occasion
- promote the restaurants, wines, tasting room, wine club and know about upcoming events on property
- ensure the front-of-house looks presentable to the guest
- describe the selection of food and beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions to drive sales
- provide each items taste, origin, and preparation methods
- perform clean-up and closing duties
- attend pre-meal meetings as requested
- thank members and guests
- invite them to return
- consistently follow local and state laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests
- deliver food orders to our members and guests accurately
- double check order to ensure quality and correctness
- communicate with server orders that are ready to be served
- follow up with additional member requests and issues
