Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus but not required
- Three months experience in clerical or customer service position preferred
- Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Ability to speak, read, write legibly and accurately, and understand English
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions, and manuals
- Ability to understand verbal instruction
- Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts frequently
- Attendance and punctuality required
- Utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to tug, lift, and pull up to thirty-five pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, or kneel
- Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens
- Ability to view video display terminal less than 18 inches away for up to four hours
- Ability to work in temperatures of -40C or colder
- Occasional exposure to and handling of dry ice
- Ability to perform precise tasks requiring repetitive small motor skills such as blood draws
- Ability to use assistive devices if needed for mobility or communication

Job Duties
- Ensure total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations such as FDA-approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP
- Maintain high level of customer service and positive donor experience in line with company values and culture
- Maintain cleanliness of work area to ensure a clean and professional environment and stock supplies
- Maintain Donor Center equipment based on Standard Operating Procedures and manufacturer instructions
- Monitor donor conditions to ensure donor comfort, safety, and plasma product quality
- Maintain donor confidentiality according to company policy
- Maintain complete and accurate record keeping per company’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Troubleshoot machine alarms and alerts and perform routine QCs on equipment
- Clean blood or plasma spills and properly dispose of biohazardous waste
- Perform donor eligibility assessments including vitals evaluation and finger sticks for testing
- Set up and operate plasmapheresis equipment and disconnect donors post-procedure
- Collect, store, and organize plasma products and samples maintaining sterile conditions
- Prepare products and samples for shipment following federal regulations
- Monitor storage freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report any abnormalities
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned
