Job Requirements
- Must comply with all company security and data protection policies
- eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
- must be able to provide US military or civil airline records of prior flight and simulator time
- ability to do foreign travel for extended assignments
- ability to stand and conduct instruction up to eight hours each day
- ability to tolerate simulation vibration and acoustic environment
- ability to climb stairs to enter and exit simulator
- ability to sit in instructional aircraft chair and reach controls as necessary
Job Qualifications
- 8 years flying experience
- 5 years military flying experience
- minimum of two years or 200 hours experience as an in-flight instructor in the MDS and associated mission sets
- MDS Instructor experience within 5 years of hiring date
- completed a formal instructor training course
- appropriate security clearances (minimum of SECRET)
- ability to understand, speak, read, and write English
- minimum 200 flying hours as a C-130H instructor/flight examiner
- proficiency in evaluating and critiquing student performance
- experience in identifying and resolving course/lesson deficiencies
- attendance and certification by the Combat Aircrew Tactics School/Mobility Electronic Combat Officer Course highly desired
- previous experience in curriculum development
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to clearly express procedures and concepts to diverse customers
- necessary math skills for flight plans and fuel calculations
- detail oriented
- proficient with Microsoft Office software
- ability to work a flexible schedule
Job Duties
- Provide C-130H Aircraft Performance instruction in ground-based aircraft, classroom, simulator, or other platform environments
- Develop curriculum for new type courses as required
- Assist as Subject Matter Expert in the development of curriculum for new type courses as required
- Act as Lesson Subject Matter Expert to review existing lessons and/or changes to existing lessons
- Direct, coordinate and lead all activity for the aircraft crew during simulator training sessions
- Operate simulator Instructor Operator Station (IOS) during simulator training sessions
