Job Requirements
- be 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to speak, read, and write English
- communicate effectively orally and in writing
- ability to lift and carry children and objects up to 45lbs independently and over 45lbs with assistance
- ability to obtain and maintain TIER-1 Child Care background checks
- pass pre-employment physical and annual physicals
- provide evidence of immunization
- be free from communicable disease
- complete all DoD training requirements including orientation, initial and ongoing training, and required certifications
- maintain current cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid certifications
- subject to random drug testing as a Test Designated Position
- comply with workplace policies on drug use
Job Qualifications
- be 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent

- communicate effectively orally and in writing

- prior experience working with children or youth preferred
- ability to obtain and maintain TIER-1 Child Care background checks
- pass pre-employment and annual physicals
- provide evidence of immunization
- maintain current cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid certifications
Job Duties
- serve as a child and youth program assistant in one or more child and youth programs
- maintain control and account for whereabouts and safety of children and youth
- assist in providing and leading planned activities for program participants
- perform routine simple child-care tasks following step-by-step instructions
- help prepare, arrange, and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials
- interact with participants using approved guidance and development techniques
- supervise participants during indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, outings, and special events
