Job Requirements

  • Physical exam and lift test as part of the hiring process
  • ability to lift medium weight objects approximately 20-50 lbs frequently
  • willingness to work in variable temperatures or wet environments
  • ability to climb and work from ladders or in awkward positions
  • members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold a current temple recommend and be worthy to hold it
  • resume required
  • commitment to BYU mission

Job Qualifications

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
  • 2 years of experience in catering or a related food service business

Job Duties

  • Coordinate with the customer regarding room set up and final service instructions
  • coordinate with banquet captain for needed equipment
  • consult with culinary staff for proper plate design and serving of meal
  • supervise student staff at the event
  • consult with custodial services regarding room setup
  • assist with training of student staff by conducting or participating in training meetings
