Job Requirements
- physical exam and lift test will be conducted as part of the hiring process
- ability to handle moderate physical effort including frequent handling of medium weight objects (approx. 20-50 lbs)
- willingness to work in variable temperatures or wet environments
- must be a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worthy to hold a current temple recommend
- ability to work flexible hours as needed
Job Qualifications
- a firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- 2 years of experience in catering or a related food service business
Job Duties
- coordinate with the customer regarding room set up and final service instructions
- coordinate with banquet captain for needed equipment
- consult with culinary staff for proper plate design and serving of meal
- supervise student staff at the event
- consult with custodial services regarding room setup
- assist with training of student staff by conducting or participating in training meetings
