Associated Students (AS) is a comprehensive campus auxiliary corporation affiliated with California State University, Chico. AS serves thousands of students, faculty, staff, and community members through a wide array of student programs, services, and business enterprises that enhance campus life and support student engagement. The corporation operates essential facilities including residential and retail dining services, the Bell Memorial Union (BMU), and the Wildcat Recreation Center (WREC). Job Requirements

Currently enrolled as a student at California State University, Chico
maintain at least 6 units if undergraduate or 4 units if graduate during employment
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
basic knowledge of food safety and handling
strong verbal communication skills
ability to follow food preparation instructions and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

Basic customer service standards
ability to obtain a California Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire
currently enrolled in 6 units for undergraduate or 4 units as a graduate at California State University, Chico

Job Duties

Prepares and or serves food as directed
follows food safety guidelines and handling requirements
maintains a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure working area
sets up service and preparation areas as assigned
cleans and replenishes the service, preparation, dining room, and dishwashing areas during and after service
follows all AS Dining Services food and work safety standards, operating procedures and policies
provides high quality service to customers
performs other duties as assigned
