Job Requirements
- Obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission
- successfully pass background check
- successfully pass drug screening
- be at least 21 years of age
- ability to work flexible shifts including holidays and weekends
- ability to stand 50% of shift
- ability to walk 45% of shift
- ability to sit 5% of shift
- ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- ability to use hands, finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- knowledge of federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred
- ability to read and write English
- one-year guest service experience in family or formal dining preferred
- casino food and beverage experience preferred
- valid Food Handlers Card
- liquor license
- Indiana Gaming Commission Badge when working
- good communication skills
- excellent interpersonal skills
- positive, friendly, outgoing attitude
- ability to handle stressful situations
Job Duties
- Create an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana for gaming entertainment
- greet each guest and provide outstanding customer service
- supply all food items needed to maintain efficient operations
- prepare and upkeep food lines and self-service stations
- transport food items from kitchen to respective areas
- inform chefs of food items needed
- assist in kitchen preparation and dishwashing
- monitor temperatures of food items
- maintain the appearance and presentation of food
- maintain all beverage areas with necessary beverages
- complete all set-up duties on time
- maintain cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas and kitchens
- rotate and maintain inventory of all food
- use proper transfer slips for food items
- load dinner plates, dessert plates, and bowls in proper areas
- put away and rotate food storeroom orders and dry goods
- interact positively with guests to enhance relations
- bus tables at the end of guest meals
- maintain 15-20 tables
- transport dish cart to and from service and steward stations
- maintain cleanliness in server stations and dining room
- abide by all cash handling policies and procedures
- remove dirty dishes and glassware during and after courses
- refill drinks when needed
- complete opening and closing duties
- check and clean equipment regularly and communicate repair needs
- work considerately with team members
- advise supervisor when supplies are needed
- inform supervisor of guest needs requiring accommodation
- check with supervisor before ending shift
- complete other departmental duties as directed by management
