Job Requirements

  • Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to stand for long periods of times
  • Carry objects up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to wipe down tabletops, booths, pick up debris off the floor, sweep floor in all areas of the restaurant

Job Duties

  • Greet and say goodbye to all customers as they arrive and depart the restaurant
  • Communicate with servers/cashiers to assure efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service
  • Accommodate any special needs to guests (highchairs, boosters, disabilities, etc.)
  • Manage the wait line while the restaurant is full
  • Provide assistance to servers and takeout staff as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized area (menus, crayons, sailor caps, etc.)
  • Clear plates, baskets, silverware, and glassware from tables throughout the guests dining experience and after guests leave
  • Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant (including but not limited to tables, floors, grounds, bathrooms, vestibules, etc.)
  • Take items to the dish room and sort in the appropriate areas for washing
  • Empty trash & bus pans throughout shift
  • Sweep or mop floors throughout shift
  • Assist servers and kitchen staff as needed
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects
  • Other additional tasks management may need assistance with
