Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Commitment to professional and ethical conduct
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and team members
  • Ability to lift and carry goods up to 20 pounds continuously
  • Ability to stand and work continuously in confined spaces
  • Ability to perform duties in extreme temperature ranges
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to read and write correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, schedule, or recipe form

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef and servers by monitoring the flow of orders into the kitchen
  • Provide final garnishes to plates before service and inspect dishes for consistent quality
  • Assist servers and bartenders by running food and beverages to appropriate tables or bar positions
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area including tables and chairs
  • Restock expeditor and side stations with tableware, flatware, utensils, condiments, and linen
  • Maintain adequate service supplies for each shift
  • Assist in bussing and resetting tables to the restaurant standards
  • Pour water and refill coffee and tea cups for guests
  • Prepare, maintain and clean the bread service station
  • Return soiled linens to laundry and collect fresh linens for service areas
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing clientele and environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Manager, or Department Director
  • Conduct all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner
  • Maintain a consistent, regular attendance record
