Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dishwashing, bussing, or restaurant support role preferred but not required
- Must be able to work efficiently, independently, and as part of a team
- Must follow instructions precisely especially concerning food safety and sanitation
- Familiarity with food safety and chemical handling procedures
- Experience operating commercial dish machines and kitchen equipment
- Strong sense of urgency and awareness of timing and flow during peak service periods
Job Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment including automatic dish machines, 3-compartment sinks, and manual cleaning tools such as brushes and sprayers
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, flatware, and glassware to meet health and safety standards
- Monitor and maintain correct chemical levels and water temperature in dish machines and sinks in accordance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Properly handle cleaning chemicals and follow all chemical safety procedures including the use of PPE as needed
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dish pit, prep areas, and back-of-house storage areas
- Empty trash and recyclables, clean floor drains, and assist with deep cleaning tasks as assigned
- Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently during and after guest service
- Wipe down and sanitize table surfaces, chairs, and booths ensuring the dining area is clean and presentable
- Sweep and spot-clean dining room floors ensuring no food debris remains under tables or around guest pathways
- Refill water glasses and assist with light guest service as requested by servers or leadership
- Transport used dishware, glassware, and utensils to the dish area promptly and safely
- Assist in stocking clean dishware and silverware at service stations as needed
- Monitor restrooms and common areas for cleanliness and attend to them as needed
- Support overall service flow by communicating with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure business success and operational smoothness
