Job Requirements

  • Effective communication with departments and team
  • Ability to present and conduct oneself professionally and emulates the Hotel Emma culture
  • Minimum knowledge, previous experience not required
  • Flexible schedule required, to include AM/PM, weekends and holidays
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Clean and set tables to Sternewirth standards
  • deposit dishes appropriately in the dish room or other specified area
  • pull dirty plates from tables while guests are still seated
  • stock bussing stations
  • deliver required food plates or beverages as necessary
  • provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the restaurant
  • assist in room service as needed
  • assist other restaurant personnel with tasks when necessary
  • stock and refill ice
  • ensure proper stock of spirits, wines, and beer
  • change kegs when needed
  • fill and operate dishwasher
  • polish and stock glassware
  • prepare, stock and replenish garnishes as needed
  • perform opening and closing tasks as specified on checklist
