Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds continuously during shift
  • ability to move and operate in the work area including stooping, twisting upper body, grasping and handling of small heavy objects such as plates, silverware, glassware
  • ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and employees
  • must meet all federal, state, county, or municipal regulations for service of food and beverages
  • understanding of chemicals used in work environment
  • ability to work with limited supervision yet remain highly interactive with team members
  • willingness to work flexible schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum six months experience working in a full service restaurant concept preferred
  • six months to one year experience as a busperson in a full service restaurant
  • friendly and pleasant demeanor

  • ability to remain positive and calm under stressful conditions
  • ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Complete all designated cleaning, stocking, and maintenance duties per established timeline
  • assist servers in bussing and resetting tables in assigned stations
  • maintain assigned areas of responsibility during service periods such as restrooms, restaurant entrance, service stations, building exterior
  • complete pre-shift, running shift, and post-shift set-up, preparation, cleaning, and stocking as outlined by management and company standards
  • work collaboratively within a team environment assisting other bus people and team members as needed
  • maintain good working knowledge of restaurant operations including hours, directions, menu items, payment policies, and take-out programs
  • acknowledge guests as they leave and invite them to return
  • ensure a harassment-free environment through proper conduct
  • uphold safety and security standards at all times
  • complete assigned weekly cleaning projects
  • maintain professional restaurant image, including cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
  • complete other duties as assigned by the manager
