Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Basic communication skills in English
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be 18 years or older

Job Qualifications

  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
  • Work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects

Job Duties

  • This position will be a non-exempt position and will report to the Food & Beverage Manager
  • The bartender is responsible for providing timely, accurate and friendly service while seating our guests, running food to tables, and clearing dishes from restaurant tables
  • Remove dishes from restaurant tables
  • Set restaurant tables with clean dishware
  • Deliver food to and from kitchen and restaurant tables
  • Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival
  • When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party
  • Call out name and number of party when tables become available
  • Provide guests with estimated waiting time
  • Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible
  • Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations
  • Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name
  • Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness
  • Relay messages to servers as needed
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
