Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Basic communication skills in English
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be 18 years or older
Job Qualifications
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
- Work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Job Duties
- This position will be a non-exempt position and will report to the Food & Beverage Manager
- The bartender is responsible for providing timely, accurate and friendly service while seating our guests, running food to tables, and clearing dishes from restaurant tables
- Remove dishes from restaurant tables
- Set restaurant tables with clean dishware
- Deliver food to and from kitchen and restaurant tables
- Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival
- When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party
- Call out name and number of party when tables become available
- Provide guests with estimated waiting time
- Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible
- Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations
- Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name
- Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness
- Relay messages to servers as needed
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
