Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior food service and hospitality experience preferred
  • Valid Food Handlers Card or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability to stand and carry items for extended periods
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varying shifts including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Prior food service and hospitality experience highly desired
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, hotel service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Ability to serve guest needs through verbal face-to-face communication
  • Must demonstrate positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to a high level of guest satisfaction
  • Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Completes required training as scheduled
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules including holidays, weekends and alternate shifts
  • Valid current Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all applicable health standards
  • Maintains a clean appearance and wears designated uniform including non-slip, oil-resistant shoes
  • Ability to adapt to shift changes as needed by management

Job Duties

  • Handles set-up and re-set of dining room areas including dishes, glassware, silverware, and linens
  • Maintains a neat, clean, and organized area for guests and members
  • Provides the flow of soiled dishes to the kitchen and clean supplies to the dining room
  • Clears dishware and flatware as necessary throughout the dinner service
  • Completes pre, running, and post-shift side-work requirements including stocking supplies such as rollups and condiments
  • Provides expeditious service ensuring water glasses are filled throughout the meal
  • Follows all standard food handling, sanitation, TIPS, and health department guidelines
  • Reports safety issues and takes immediate action in emergencies
  • Notifies management of unsafe conditions, needed maintenance, and any accidents
  • Resolves guest complaints within scope or refers to management
  • Accurately communicates the daily menu offerings and may deliver food to assigned tables
  • Reports to work on time and maintains professional integrity throughout the shift
