Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior food service and hospitality experience preferred
- Valid Food Handlers Card or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to stand and carry items for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work varying shifts including holidays and weekends
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
- Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Prior food service and hospitality experience highly desired
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, hotel service standards, guest relations and etiquette
- Ability to serve guest needs through verbal face-to-face communication
- Must demonstrate positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to a high level of guest satisfaction
- Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Completes required training as scheduled
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Flexibility to work varying schedules including holidays, weekends and alternate shifts
- Valid current Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Knowledge of and adherence to all applicable health standards
- Maintains a clean appearance and wears designated uniform including non-slip, oil-resistant shoes
- Ability to adapt to shift changes as needed by management
Job Duties
- Handles set-up and re-set of dining room areas including dishes, glassware, silverware, and linens
- Maintains a neat, clean, and organized area for guests and members
- Provides the flow of soiled dishes to the kitchen and clean supplies to the dining room
- Clears dishware and flatware as necessary throughout the dinner service
- Completes pre, running, and post-shift side-work requirements including stocking supplies such as rollups and condiments
- Provides expeditious service ensuring water glasses are filled throughout the meal
- Follows all standard food handling, sanitation, TIPS, and health department guidelines
- Reports safety issues and takes immediate action in emergencies
- Notifies management of unsafe conditions, needed maintenance, and any accidents
- Resolves guest complaints within scope or refers to management
- Accurately communicates the daily menu offerings and may deliver food to assigned tables
- Reports to work on time and maintains professional integrity throughout the shift
