Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- previous restaurant experience preferred
- TIPS Certification or certified within 90 days of employment
- CA Food Handlers certification required
- must be able to work weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Maintains cleanliness and order throughout dining and work areas by clearing, collecting and returning food and beverage items to proper areas
- clears tables and resets them neatly and according to specification
- ensures the front-of-house is presentable to guests
- maintains knowledge of food menu and provides recommendations in describing menu items to guests to drive sales
- assists server with providing wine presentations and recommendations
- assists server in following proper plate presentation and garnish set up details
- promotes restaurants, wines, tasting room, wine club and upcoming events
- works with kitchen staff to ensure food is expedited quickly and correctly
- communicates with service staff and managers about guest needs
- takes the lead in any guest issues that may arise during your shift and communicates to the manager/supervisor
- looks for ways to improve service, streamline the efficiency and maximize revenue possibilities
- other duties may be assigned
