Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year prep and/or cooking experience
  • knowledge and understanding of relevant food safety and sanitation laws, principles, procedures and practices
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to constantly stand and perform physical demands including walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, eye/hand/foot coordination
  • ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • satisfactory completion of pre-employment drug screening
  • satisfactory completion of criminal background check
  • ability to read, analyze and interpret general business rules and technical procedures
  • ability to clearly and effectively communicate with management and team members

Job Duties

  • Prepares dining room for patrons by cleaning and clothing tables
  • sets decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils
  • protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies
  • maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean and replacing damaged or soiled pages
  • maintains table settings by removing courses as completed and replenishing utensils and water glasses
  • supports wait staff by setting up and replenishing condiment stands, trash container liners, and bus stations
  • closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables, sweeping and/or vacuuming floors, and removing trash and recyclables
  • updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities
  • enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and adding value to job accomplishments
