Job Requirements
- ability to remain stationary for long periods of time
- must be able to bend and stoop on occasion
- must be able to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate
- must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to five hours in length
- ability to lift trays, soiled dish bins, etc., of up to 40 pounds in weight
- must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other associates
- must wear slip-resistant shoes at all times while working
Job Qualifications
- entry-level position
- must possess a friendly, outgoing, courteous, service-oriented personality
- high school degree preferred but not required
- must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
Job Duties
- maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house including all tables, chairs, floors, walls, windows, and restrooms
- assists in restocking the dining room with silverware, glassware, utensils, condiments, and maintains adequate supplies in the work stations when the dining room is opened
- may prepare beverages required for service, including coffee, and iced tea
- communicates with host/hostess and servers to maintain service efficiency
- may assist servers in serving tables during rush periods
- assists in removing dirty dishes and silver from guest tables between courses and after guests leave the table
- returns dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware to dishwashing area, sorting silverware, glassware, and other items, placing them in the prescribed area for proper disposition
- will perform any restaurant function as needed
