Job Requirements

  • Experience in similar position within an upscale restaurant environment preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess a team-spirited attitude and willingness to help
  • Ability to communicate with department managers, team members, and guests
  • Ability to retain and give general hotel information
  • Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Proper lifting techniques required
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and noisy environments
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to push or pull objects up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work under variable temperature conditions
  • Ability to multi-task

Job Duties

  • Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift
  • Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring water to tables
  • Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course
  • Clear tables after guests and transport tableware to the dish room
  • Clean table tops, chairs, booths, and floors between seating
  • Reset and arrange tabletops
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate them to servers
  • Assist servers with food delivery during peak periods and large parties
  • Thank guests as they leave
  • Fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
  • Wash dishes in absence of dishwasher or as directed
  • Abide by legal standards and TIPS alcohol training guidelines
  • Provide 100% guest satisfaction through genuine hospitality
  • Listen, empathize, and resolve guest issues
  • Exhibit team spirit and assist other staff members as required
