The role offered is that of a Busser within the Applebee’s restaurants operated by Thrive Restaurant Group. This position is essential to creating memorable dining experiences for guests by maintaining clean and safe dining spaces. As a Busser, you will play a direct part in enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring that tables and dining areas are promptly cleaned and reset, providing a welcoming environment that encourages customers to return. Responsibilities include clearing tables of dishware and napkins after meals, sweeping and mopping floors, maintaining stock of glassware, silverware, and dishware, sanitizing and resetting tables, refilling condiments, assisting servers with food delivery, and ensuring that service stations are clean and well-stocked. The role may also require performing various cleaning tasks throughout the restaurant as needed. Requirements for the job focus on physical capability, including mobility throughout the shift, the ability to lift moderate weights, and distinctive attention to cleanliness and detail. Job Requirements

  • Ability to wipe down tabletops and table legs
  • Ability to pick up debris off of the floor
  • Ability to wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant
  • Ability to transport plates, glasses, and baskets to and from dining areas multiple times per shift
  • Mobility throughout entire shift
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Adequate vision to discern cleanliness and operate touchscreen

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, pick up debris off of the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant
  • Ability to transport plates, glasses, and baskets to and from the dining room, service bar, and the kitchen about 30 times per shift
  • Mobility required during the entire shift

Job Duties

  • Clear tables of dishware and napkins after meals
  • Keep floors and chairs near dining tables clean by sweeping and mopping
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of glassware, silverware, and dishware
  • Clean, sanitize, and reset tables after meals
  • Refill salt, pepper, and other condiments at tables
  • Assist servers with food delivery
  • Keep designated service stations clean and well stocked
  • May be asked to assist with other cleaning duties within the restaurant as needed
