Job Requirements
- Be punctual to begin work
- Wear proper uniform including black slacks, Black Bear Diner shirt, suspenders, and slip-proof shoes
- Wear name badge and use radio headset during shift
- Maintain neat and clean appearance
- Setup tables with placemats and rolled silverware
- Ensure cleanliness of floors, seats, windows, bathrooms, and parking areas
- Assist with bussing and resetting tables using sanitizer
- Refill beverages and make food runs when necessary
- Work overtime when needed
- Take breaks on time and return promptly
- Report equipment and supply issues to management
- Be a team player and take ownership of restaurant cleanliness
- Complete other tasks assigned by management
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to multitask including radio communication
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality industry beneficial
- Basic communication skills including use of radio headset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and customer service orientation
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Attention to detail and punctuality
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room floors and working areas
- Buss and reset tables using proper sanitizing procedures
- Clean windows, counter ledges, bathrooms, and restock as needed
- Clear debris and spills on walkways and parking areas
- Assist food servers by refilling beverages and making food runs
- Coordinate with hosts on seating arrangements
- Keep service stations clean and replenish beverage dispensers
- Sweep and vacuum floors at end of shift
- Report equipment failures and supply shortages to management
