  • Experience in similar position within an upscale restaurant environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-spirited attitude and willingness to help
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, team members and guests
  • Ability to provide general hotel information
  • Strong team spirit
  • Ability to work well under stressful, high pressure situations
  • Will stand for long periods of time
  • Proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to tolerate heat, cold, chemicals and noisy environment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and push or pull objects up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to multitask under variable temperature conditions

Job Duties

  • Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift
  • Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring water to the table
  • Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course
  • Clear tables after guests and return tableware to dish room properly
  • Clean table tops, chairs and booths between seating
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate to server as needed
  • Assist server with food delivery especially during large parties and peak periods
