Job Duties

  • Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly after guests have finished their meals
  • Wipe down tables, chairs, and condiment holders to remove crumbs, spills, and debris
  • Reset tables with clean tablecloths, napkins, and tableware for incoming guests
  • Refill water glasses, breadbaskets, and condiment containers as needed throughout service
  • Assist servers in delivering beverages, appetizers, and other items to tables as directed
  • Support servers by running food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables
  • Communicate with serving staff to coordinate table turnovers and ensure efficient service
  • Respond to guest requests for additional items such as extra napkins, utensils, or condiments
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of dining areas, including floors, windows, and furniture
  • Empty trash bins and bus carts regularly to keep dining areas clean and free of clutter
  • Adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards, including proper handwashing and food handling practices
  • Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, assisting with seating, menu inquiries, and other requests as needed
  • Communicate effectively with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or special requests
  • Uphold a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant by greeting guests warmly and maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Work collaboratively with other front-of-house staff including servers, hosts, hostesses, and bartenders to deliver exceptional service
  • Assist coworkers during peak periods and contribute to a smooth flow of operations in the restaurant
  • Communicate effectively with management and colleagues to address any issues or concerns related to table service
