Job Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of 1-year full-service restaurant busser experience or equivalent
- meet personal schedule requirements punctually
- project a friendly, courteous and pleasant attitude
- get along with co-workers
- provide a clean, well-manicured persona reflecting the restaurant's established image
- safely transport containers weighing up to 30 lbs from tables to dishwashing areas
- sufficiently master English to respond properly to questions and directions
- stand and/or walk for entire shifts
- safely transport items on slick and uneven surfaces
- transport dishes, bus tubs, or trays between dishwashing area and tables
- safely move about all restaurant areas
- accept constructive criticism
- work variable and flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety
- assist service team with food and beverage service
- perform team service as instructed by team leader or manager
- complete ice and water service as required by the restaurant
- complete bread and butter/oil service as required by the restaurant
- refill water glasses with ice and water
- refill bread and butter/oil
- keep tables free of dirty dishes, empty glassware, debris, empty bottles
- crumb and/or wipe tables when appropriate
- maintain silverware service, replacing as needed
- remove used service dishes and utensils to bus tub or tray in a prescribed manner
- perform more than one task at a time
- complete all side work as assigned in a timely manner
- wrap leftover food to take home as requested
- remove all final items remaining on the table of a party of four in a single trip
- clean and reset a table according to standing operating procedure within one minute
- properly change CO2 and soda dispensers
- refrain from smoking during shift
- perform calmly and effectively under pressure
- communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
