Job Requirements
- Be punctual to begin work
- Wear proper uniform including black slacks Black Bear Diner shirt suspenders and slip-proof shoes
- Use and communicate through radio headset during shift
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance
- Setup and clean dining room tables and floors
- Clean windows counter ledges and restock bathrooms
- Assist servers and guests as needed
- Coordinate with hosts for seating
- Sweep and vacuum floors at shift end
- Work overtime as required
- Report equipment failures and supply shortages
- Take breaks on time and return promptly
- Be a team player and take ownership of the restaurant
- Complete assigned tasks willingly
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to multi-task including communication via radio
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in dining room or restaurant maintenance helpful
- Ability to communicate clearly using a radio headset
- Strong team player with customer service skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Punctual and able to follow uniform and appearance standards
Job Duties
- Greet all guests in a professional friendly and family oriented way before during and after the meal period
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room including floors booths tables windows and service stations
- Setup dining room tables with placemats and rolled up silverware
- Buss and reset tables using white towels and sanitizer
- Clean and restock bathrooms ensuring hygiene standards
- Clear debris and spills on walkways and parking areas
- Assist food servers by refilling beverages making food runs and attending to guest needs
