Job Requirements
- Be punctual to begin work
- Wear proper uniform including Black Bear Diner shirt, black slacks, black suspenders, black slip-proof shoes, and name badge at all times
- Use radio headset for communication during shifts
- Maintain neat and clean appearance
- Setup dining room tables with placemats and rolled silverware
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, tables, booth seats, windows, bathrooms, and walkways
- Assist food servers and guests as needed
- Sweep and vacuum floors during and after shifts
- Report any equipment failures and supply shortages immediately
- Work overtime if required
- Take breaks timely and return promptly
- Be a team player and accept additional tasks willingly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a dining room attendant or similar role preferred
- Strong communication skills including radio headset usage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- Ability to multi-task effectively
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner before, during, and after the meal period
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room including floors, tables, seats, windows, and counter ledges
- Buss and reset tables using appropriate sanitation procedures
- Clean and restock bathrooms regularly
- Clear debris and spills in walkways and parking areas outside the restaurant
- Assist food servers with various tasks including refilling beverages and making food runs
- Coordinate seating arrangements with hosts and maintain service station cleanliness
- Sweep and vacuum floors at end of shift and support night crew set-up
- Report equipment failures and supply shortages to management
- Work overtime when needed and take breaks on time while returning promptly
- Act as a team player taking ownership of the entire restaurant environment
- Complete any other duties as assigned by management
