Job Requirements

  • Must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Must be able to bend and stoop on occasion
  • Must be able to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to five hours
  • Must be able to lift trays, soiled dish bins, etc., up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively
  • Must wear slip-resistant shoes at all times while working

Job Qualifications

  • Entry-level position
  • Must possess a friendly, outgoing, courteous, service-oriented personality
  • High school degree preferred but not required
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English

Job Duties

  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house including all tables, chairs, floors, walls, windows, and restrooms
  • Assists in restocking the dining room with silverware, glassware, utensils, condiments, and maintains adequate supplies in the work stations when the dining room is opened
  • Prepares beverages required for service, including coffee and iced tea
  • Communicates with host/hostess and servers to maintain service efficiency
  • Assists servers in serving tables during rush periods
  • Removes dirty dishes and silver from guest tables between courses and after guests leave the table
  • Returns dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware to dishwashing area and sorts them for proper disposition
  • Performs any restaurant function as needed
