Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a food service environment preferred
  • maintain punctuality and receive positive attendance record
  • wear proper uniform as required
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry moderate weights
  • maintain current TABC and Food Handler certification
  • comply with all health and safety regulations
  • ability to follow instructions and work under supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • good communication skills
  • knowledge of basic food safety standards
  • current TABC and Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain
  • physical ability to perform cleaning and setup tasks

Job Duties

  • Arrive on time and in proper uniform
  • assist wait staff by clearing plates, refilling drinks, and running food
  • ensure dining room is clean
  • bus and sanitize tables
  • ensure trash cans are lined and in place
  • set up member station with coffee, tea, water, cream, and lemons with tongs
  • clean and break down member station and take out member station's trash
  • cut fresh lemons and arrange on plates for each table
  • make butter bowls ready and place on each table
  • fill ice bins for bar service
  • fill bread warmer with rolls, muffins, cornbread, melba toast and cheese toast
  • empty, clean and turn off bread warmers at the end of service
  • get daily soups from the kitchen and place in soup warmer
  • take leftover soup downstairs, empty water and clean soup warmer
  • vacuum dining room floor as needed
  • sweep and mop hallway after each shift
  • clean microwave after each shift
  • ensure coffee/soup table is clean, organized, and stocked
  • ensure service racks stocked and organized
  • refill iced tea and water station
  • ensure baked potato tray is brought up for service and taken down after
  • take lien bag out after each shift
  • clean refrigerator of leftover food and ensure cleanliness
  • ensure TVs are turned on and off appropriately
  • ensure patio doors are unlocked and locked accordingly
  • maintain current TABC and Food Handler certification
  • check with Manager on Duty prior to leaving
