Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time
  • must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Previous busser/hospitality experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge
  • ability to handle exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials
  • ability to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • must be a team player and able to interact with internal and external customers
  • must have current SNHD food handlers card and alcohol awareness card
  • ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook
  • serve water, coffee, and soft drinks, refilling when needed
  • properly set-up coffee and bread stations, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management
  • clean machines and appliances such as coffee and tea makers, glass washers, and bread warmers
  • maintain the general cleanliness and orderliness of the coffee and bread station during service
  • set up bread trays and butter dishes for service and prepare coffee and tea beverages to order
  • sort soiled china, glasses, and silverware outside the break down area, polish glasses/silverware and restock server stations
  • always maintain general cleanliness and stock paper supply in guest restrooms during service
  • empty trash receptacles, sweep floors, restock all supplies in the dining room and ensure that dining areas and service stations are clean and organized
  • anticipate and accommodate the needs of guests while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction
  • communicate the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Back-of-House support staff, servers, managers, and chefs
  • protect establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and Company sanitation standards
  • report all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management
  • attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings
  • update knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities
