Job Qualifications
- Previous busser/hospitality experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge
- ability to handle exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials
- ability to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- must be a team player and able to interact with internal and external customers
- must have current SNHD food handlers card and alcohol awareness card
- ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook
- serve water, coffee, and soft drinks, refilling when needed
- properly set-up coffee and bread stations, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management
- clean machines and appliances such as coffee and tea makers, glass washers, and bread warmers
- maintain the general cleanliness and orderliness of the coffee and bread station during service
- set up bread trays and butter dishes for service and prepare coffee and tea beverages to order
- sort soiled china, glasses, and silverware outside the break down area, polish glasses/silverware and restock server stations
- always maintain general cleanliness and stock paper supply in guest restrooms during service
- empty trash receptacles, sweep floors, restock all supplies in the dining room and ensure that dining areas and service stations are clean and organized
- anticipate and accommodate the needs of guests while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction
- communicate the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Back-of-House support staff, servers, managers, and chefs
- protect establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and Company sanitation standards
- report all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management
- attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings
- update knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities
