Job Duties
- Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly after guests have finished their meals
- wipe down tables, chairs, and condiment holders to remove crumbs, spills, and debris
- reset tables with clean tablecloths, napkins, and tableware for incoming guests
- refill water glasses, breadbaskets, and condiment containers as needed throughout service
- assist servers in delivering beverages, appetizers, and other items to tables as directed
- support servers by running food orders from the kitchen to appropriate tables
- communicate with serving staff to coordinate table turnovers and ensure efficient service
- respond to guest requests for additional items such as extra napkins, utensils, or condiments
- maintain cleanliness and orderliness of dining areas, including floors, windows, and furniture
- empty trash bins and bus carts regularly to keep dining areas clean and free of clutter
- adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards, including proper handwashing and food handling practices
- provide friendly and attentive service to guests, assisting with seating, menu inquiries, and other requests as needed
- communicate effectively with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or special requests
- uphold a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant by greeting guests warmly and maintaining a professional demeanor
- work collaboratively with other front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders, to deliver exceptional service
- assist coworkers during peak periods and contribute to a smooth flow of operations in the restaurant
- communicate effectively with management and colleagues to address any issues or concerns related to table service
