Job Duties

  • Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly after guests have finished their meals
  • wipe down tables, chairs, and condiment holders to remove crumbs, spills, and debris
  • reset tables with clean tablecloths, napkins, and tableware for incoming guests
  • refill water glasses, breadbaskets, and condiment containers as needed throughout service
  • assist servers in delivering beverages, appetizers, and other items to tables as directed
  • support servers by running food orders from the kitchen to appropriate tables
  • communicate with serving staff to coordinate table turnovers and ensure efficient service
  • respond to guest requests for additional items such as extra napkins, utensils, or condiments
  • maintain cleanliness and orderliness of dining areas, including floors, windows, and furniture
  • empty trash bins and bus carts regularly to keep dining areas clean and free of clutter
  • adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards, including proper handwashing and food handling practices
  • provide friendly and attentive service to guests, assisting with seating, menu inquiries, and other requests as needed
  • communicate effectively with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or special requests
  • uphold a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant by greeting guests warmly and maintaining a professional demeanor
  • work collaboratively with other front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders, to deliver exceptional service
  • assist coworkers during peak periods and contribute to a smooth flow of operations in the restaurant
  • communicate effectively with management and colleagues to address any issues or concerns related to table service
