Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Ability to lift and transport tubs of dishes and silverware up to 50 pounds
- use a tray/bus tub at all times when clearing tables and delivering beverages
- transports dishes to dishwashing area
- sorts and separates silverware, dishes, and glassware according to guidelines
- maintain thorough housekeeping practices before, during, and after shifts including cleaning floors, walls, chairs, and tables
- must be guest-oriented
Job Duties
- Stock and maintains bus and dish cart station
- ensures necessary supplies, silverware, dishes, and paper products are available
- maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the bus station area
- performs assigned opening duties to ensure a clean and well-organized station with proper supply levels
- ensures that the dining room is in guest ready condition
- removes unused settings, clears dirty dishes, provides water, coffee, iced tea and soda refills as requested
- pre-busses from tables throughout the shift
- approaches tables promptly with a warm greeting
- assists food servers with guest service
- greets and seats guests when a host/hostess is not present
- clears and resets tables quickly as guests depart
- removes dishes and glassware after guest departure
- cleans table surface ensuring proper sanitation
- sets tables according to company expectations
- uses a tray/bus tub to clear tables and deliver beverages
- transports dishes from bus station to dishwashing area
- sorts and separates silverware, dishes, and glassware
- maintains thorough housekeeping of assigned station including floors, walls, chairs, and tables before, during, and after shifts
- empties and cleans all restaurant trash cans
- checks trash cans for discarded tableware and kitchen utensils
- retrieves and cleans as necessary
- must be familiar with menus and restaurant policies to answer guest questions
