Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in sales or related field
- Proficiency in sales information systems and CRM software
- Ability to travel locally as needed
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends
- Must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Capable of sitting for up to 8 hours and performing physical tasks such as walking, standing, bending, and climbing
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in hotel sales or hospitality sales
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to utilize sales and market intelligence software
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
- Knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes and strategies
- Experience working with corporate accounts and business transient segments
Job Duties
- Work with Area Director of Sales to identify top accounts and key buyers
- Identify share shift targets within the Business Transient segment
- Collaborate with U.S. Account Sales and GSO teams to drive production from high priority accounts
- Negotiate yearly Special Corporate Negotiated rates to grow revenue
- Solicit new accounts using competitor intelligence and internal referrals
- Ensure property lead generation programs are active
- Drive customer satisfaction through daily interactions and hosting events
- Conduct customer-facing sales activities including site inspections
- Maintain accurate lead information and customer data in sales systems
- Qualify and grow long-term business potential
- Present hotel benefits based on customer needs
- Utilize sales processes and negotiation skills to uncover new business
- Use various information systems to research and manage accounts
- Understand market trends and communicate to stakeholders
- Utilize company marketing incentives to convert leads
- Track weekly sales activities and revenue
- Prioritize daily sales responsibilities
- Participate in Sales Strategy Meetings
- Adjust workload priorities independently
- Activate local tactics to meet buyer needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
