Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • bachelor’s degree preferred
  • sales and marketing experience preferred
  • prior administrative experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to travel occasionally
  • strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • good knowledge of complex mathematical calculations and computer programs
  • excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • detail oriented and organized
  • intermediate computer proficiency
  • basic computational ability
  • ability to analyze and forecast user needs
  • effective interpersonal skills including patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, key system, and POS

Job Duties

  • Work with area director of sales to identify top accounts and key buyers for stakeholder hotels
  • identify share shift targets in the business transient segment and create sales actions to increase these accounts
  • collaborate with US account sales/GSO teams to drive production from high priority accounts
  • negotiate yearly special corporate negotiated rates to drive revenue growth
  • solicit new accounts using competitor intelligence and internal referral mechanisms
  • ensure lead generation programs are active through operations teams
  • build customer satisfaction through daily interactions and hosting events
  • conduct customer-facing sales activities such as lunch and learns, social hours, and local industry events
  • perform site inspections for customer accounts
  • maintain up-to-date lead information in company systems
  • qualify and maintain customer's long-term business potential
  • present hotel benefits and features based on customer needs
  • utilize all business processes supporting sales organization
  • use negotiation and creative selling abilities to uncover new business
  • research accounts and market trends using various information systems
  • communicate market trends and opportunities
  • use company marketing initiatives and incentives to convert leads
  • track weekly sales activities and relation to revenue and room nights
  • set daily priorities to complete responsibilities
  • participate in sales strategy meetings
  • adjust workload priorities independently
  • activate local tactics to meet buyer needs
  • perform other duties as assigned
