Job Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in any field or two years of experience in clerical office or related field
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • proficiency in typing more than 60wpm with 90 percent accuracy preferred
  • advanced 10-key skills preferred
  • ability to work flexible schedule including early or late shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime
  • must be able to sit/stand up to eight hours a day
  • ability to lift 10-50 pounds regularly with assistance
  • no travel required
  • must work in office setting
  • ability to use Microsoft Office, TEAMS, and Outlook
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent customer service abilities
  • effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • An Associate's Degree in any field or two years of clerical office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • knowledge of office methods, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and mathematics
  • familiarity with business communication etiquette
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook and Teams

  • customer service skills using in-person, email, and phone communication
  • ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • capability to establish and maintain digital filing systems
  • skilled in data entry and document verification

Job Duties

  • Maintains a variety of records such as perpetual inventories of supplies and statements of expenditures
  • reconciles departmental records with central records
  • prepares correspondence, forms, and reports
  • initiates and handles correspondence related to agency or program rules, policies, and procedures
  • performs sorting and filing tasks
  • answers phones and disseminates information
  • opens, sorts, distributes, collects, and delivers mail
  • produces documents ranging from plain copy typing to complex data presentations
  • receives, retrieves, and enters information using computer equipment
  • reviews and verifies reports and documents for completeness and conformity
  • maintains inventory of equipment and supplies used in office operations
  • processes claims from vendors, contractors, and medical providers for reimbursement
  • assists customers with obtaining information and documents
  • reviews and optimizes records management processes
  • processes intake forms of placards, citations, suspensions, and MedCerts within federally required timeframes
  • types and scans data into various programs
  • enters, searches, and processes collision report data
  • calculates customer payments and cashier reports
  • manages spreadsheets to track monies and requests
  • uses TEAMS and Outlook to collaborate across teams
  • performs cross-training in various business support sections according to agency needs
