Job Requirements
- must work in a well-lighted environment with exposure to moisture, heat, cold, odors, equipment, chemicals
- physical exertion required including intermittent lifting, pushing, and carrying objects up to 50 pounds
- standing, kneeling, and bending required
- minimal exposure to infectious diseases
- must be able to multitask and have strong organizational and time management skills
- must be able to operate all types of office equipment
- must be able to use a computer, having both word processing and spreadsheet skills
- must be willing to get licensed as a Notary Public
Job Qualifications
- associated degree or equivalent training
- at least 2 years of previous experience
- strong written and interpersonal skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- excellent time management skills
- ability to multi-task and stay organized
- able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- previous experience working with seniors preferred
Job Duties
- Lead the reception/concierge team in providing excellent customer service to all residents, guests, and fellow coworkers
- manage day-to-day operations of the front desk including opening and closing procedures, staff behavior, and customer intake procedures
- interview, hire, and train reception staff in procedure and policy procedures and customer service expectations
- schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage for the front desk
- operate telephone switchboard, direct calls appropriately, and take messages
- greet and direct visitors and residents
- answer their questions to the best of their ability
- resolve customer complaints and provide solutions to staff disputes
- maintain resident census, resident directory, business files, call bell system, phone lists, etc.
- follow reception area procedures during fire alarms
- responsible for ordering and receiving office supplies including supplies for other office equipment
- responsible for front desk petty cash box
- perform clerical duties as needed
- perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
