Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or health care administration desired
  • Extensive or relevant experience accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical office setting highly preferred
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in financial analysis and business office operations
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and insurance verification processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage registration, medical records, accounts receivable, accounts payable, scheduling, insurance verification and collections
  • Monitor and analyze reports for the center and oversee the operational success of the business office
  • Manage the workflow and reassign staff as workload demands
  • Evaluate registration, insurance verification and cash posting to determine the integrity of data input
  • Conduct staff meetings and provide guidance and feedback to strengthen the team
  • Communicate with physicians regarding patient scheduling, registration and insurance verification
  • Oversee center managed care contracts with third party payers including Medicare and Medicaid
