Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of medical office experience preferred
  • ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • ability to follow hospital financial and admitting policies
  • strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and staff

Job Qualifications

  • One-year medical office experience, preferred
  • ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand

Job Duties

  • Greet patients on admission
  • verify patient information as necessary
  • obtain required patient information, copies of insurance cards, and signatures
  • collect patient co-payments, co-insurance or deductible payments
  • notify appropriate staff of patient arrival and admission
  • ensure patients are aware of any potential observers and initiate proper paperwork for patient approval
  • ensure all vendors are properly checked-in before admitting into patient care areas
  • keep family members informed of patient’s status during their stay in the Center
