Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year’s work experience in a nursing home environment preferred
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • ability to manage insurance payments and maintain accurate records
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to greet visitors professionally and manage telephone communications
  • capacity to handle multiple administrative tasks in a healthcare setting

Job Qualifications

  • One year’s work experience in a nursing home environment preferred
  • experience with Microsoft Office applications required
  • experience in healthcare Business Office preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide administrative support to the Business Office Manager
  • coordinate with the Central Billing Office on insurance payments including private, Medicare, Medicaid and other managed care
  • manage refunds for accounts receivable and maintain appropriate logs and reports
  • greet all individuals entering the front office in a pleasant manner and respond to their business needs while monitoring visitors for security
  • conduct normal telephone protocol by answering incoming calls and responding appropriately or taking messages
  • process all outgoing mail and maintain the front office area including business equipment
  • perform other duties as assigned
