Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year’s work experience in a nursing home environment preferred
- proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- ability to manage insurance payments and maintain accurate records
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to greet visitors professionally and manage telephone communications
- capacity to handle multiple administrative tasks in a healthcare setting
Job Qualifications
- One year’s work experience in a nursing home environment preferred
- experience with Microsoft Office applications required
- experience in healthcare Business Office preferred
Job Duties
- Provide administrative support to the Business Office Manager
- coordinate with the Central Billing Office on insurance payments including private, Medicare, Medicaid and other managed care
- manage refunds for accounts receivable and maintain appropriate logs and reports
- greet all individuals entering the front office in a pleasant manner and respond to their business needs while monitoring visitors for security
- conduct normal telephone protocol by answering incoming calls and responding appropriately or taking messages
- process all outgoing mail and maintain the front office area including business equipment
- perform other duties as assigned
