Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary receptionist, greeting residents, families, visitors, volunteers, and staff
  • ensure office supplies are requested, approved, and ordered according to policy
  • collect accounts receivable and report delinquent accounts to the Administrator or Business Office Manager
  • perform duties typically required of an Accounting/Billing Assistant
  • respond to, screen, and take messages for incoming telephone calls in a timely manner
  • type correspondence, produce reports, and work on spreadsheets as needed
  • collect and record payments from the healthcare center, assisted living, independent living, insurance companies, and miscellaneous sources
  • create work orders and interact with contractors and vendors
  • assist with timecard entries and other payroll functions
  • create and maintain medical record files and employee files
  • photocopy correspondence for departments as needed
  • process incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • maintain adequate office supplies and request additional supplies as necessary
  • follow the Corporate Compliance Plan and maintain knowledge of applicable policies
  • communicate effectively with medical staff, nursing personnel, and other department personnel
