Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Several years of experience in restaurant kitchen management
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of purchasing and inventory procedures
  • Ability to analyze operational metrics and implement improvements

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing a large restaurant kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of food production and kitchen operations
  • Ability to oversee multiple supervisors and large teams
  • Experience with budgeting and cost control
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Manages all food production operations including purchasing, receiving, preparation, and presentation of food products
  • Ensures consistency in food quality and service to increase sales
  • Maintains budgeted food and kitchen labor costs
  • Oversees proper inventory management and storage
  • Supervises subordinate supervisors and reviews their actions
  • Conducts management reviews of food production programs to identify problems and implement corrective measures
  • Evaluates program success in profitability, customer satisfaction, and mission accomplishment
  • Monitors procurement of all kitchen supplies and equipment
