Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in affordable apartment communities
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with affordable housing programs including HUD, LIHTC, PSH, Section 8, Senior, and RD
- Strong understanding of day-to-day operations of a multi-family apartment community
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Physically able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in affordable apartment communities
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with HUD, Low Income Tax Credit (LIHTC), Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), Section 8, Senior, Rural Development (RD)
- Strong understanding of multi-family apartment community operations including leasing, financial reporting, and resident services
- Proven success in maintaining high occupancy rates
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with Yardi and/or MRI is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Manage the financial operations of the apartment community including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and processing rent payments
- Support the Community Manager with asset management including budget implementation and financial reporting
- Oversee leasing process from initial inquiries to move-ins ensuring a positive resident experience
- Maintain and update accurate resident files ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
- Assist with marketing and advertising to fill vacancies
- Engage prospective residents, conduct apartment tours, and process applications to maintain maximum occupancy
- Handle resident relations by addressing concerns and providing excellent customer service
- Ensure all leased apartments are properly documented with accurate move-in/move-out records
- Collaborate with Community Manager to enforce community policies and ensure fair housing compliance
- Perform general office tasks including scheduling, answering resident inquiries, and managing resident communication
- Assist with organizing resident events and building community relationships
- Assume role of person-in-charge in Community Manager's absence ensuring smooth community operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
