Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience in foodservice or commercial kitchen equipment
- Strong knowledge of foodservice equipment and operations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to understand customer needs and provide consultative solutions
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Auto Quotes, Salesforce, and NetSuite
- Ability to travel as needed within the assigned region
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to attend trade shows and industry events
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or related field preferred
- or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years in sales, preferably in the foodservice equipment or commercial kitchen industry
- Understanding foodservice operations, equipment, construction and design knowledge is a significant plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities
- Ability to understand and meet customer needs in a consultative manner
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Auto Quotes and CRM software including Salesforce and NetSuite
- Ability to travel within the assigned region for client meetings, trade shows, and site visits
Job Duties
- Prospect, identify, and pursue new business opportunities within the foodservice industry including owner representatives, hotel owners and developers, and restaurant concept owners
- Prospect, identify, and pursue new business opportunities within the foodservice operator industry including restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals, and catering companies
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s product offerings including commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration units, cooking appliances, and other related foodservice products
- Work closely with clients to assess their needs, provide tailored solutions, and recommend the most suitable equipment based on their operational requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring repeat business and ongoing customer satisfaction
- Maintain a full pipeline of prospects to ensure a constant stream of new clients
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and quotes to prospective customers, clearly explaining product features, benefits, and pricing
- Coordinate with internal teams to process orders, track shipments, and ensure on-time delivery of equipment
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor products, and customer preferences to better position the company’s offerings in the market
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status and provide regular updates and reports to the Sales Manager through Salesforce
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and other events to network and promote products
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers to close deals while maintaining profitability
