Job Requirements

  • A four-year college degree in hospitality management, marketing, business or related degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-4 years of hotel sales experience with a focus on business development
  • Ability to multitask and work long irregular hours, weekends and evenings
  • Legal work authorization in the United States

Job Duties

  • Proactively identify, target, and solicit new group accounts across key verticals (corporate, association, SMERF, incentive, etc.)
  • Conduct structured prospecting campaigns including cold outreach, client visits, networking events, and industry trade shows
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline aligned with revenue goals
  • Secure site visits and convert opportunities into contracted group business
  • Drive incremental group revenue aligned with annual sales and revenue targets
  • Strategically position the hotel to maximize ADR and total revenue contribution
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize pricing strategies and competitive positioning
  • Track and report prospecting activity, conversion ratios, and pipeline performance
  • Monitor local and national market trends, competitor activity, and demand patterns
  • Identify emerging business sectors and new demand generators within the Denver market
  • Develop targeted sales strategies to penetrate priority segments
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, corporate decision-makers, and third-party intermediaries
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, client functions, and networking opportunities
  • Maintain accurate account records and activity documentation within the CRM system
