Job Requirements

  • Enrolled in high school or certified G.E.D. program or possess high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • at least six months of work experience preferred unless currently attending school
  • ability to learn basic job routines
  • effective communication skills
  • free from communicable diseases transmissible through food handling
  • comply with city health department regulations
  • comply with dress code policies
  • ability to stand and move for up to six hours
  • frequent reaching, bending, squatting, and stooping
  • lift and carry up to 30 pounds repetitively
  • maintain regular attendance
  • use equipment such as telephones, cash registers, knives, meat slicers, mixers, can openers, scales, and dishwashing machines

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Set up the restaurant and prepare it for lunch or dinner service
  • clear tables and wipe tables and chairs throughout the shift
  • sweep the floor to maintain cleanliness
  • operate the dishwashing machine to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
  • maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
  • communicate effectively with restaurant staff
  • follow dress code and hygiene standards
