- one plus year(s) of experience working with children or students
- ability to manage physical tasks related to assisting handicapped students
- completion of all required training programs
- successful pre-employment background check

Job Duties
- Monitor all passengers to ensure safety is always maintained on the bus
- assist students in entering and exiting the bus
- perform safety checks on the bus to ensure the safety of all students
- know the routes and remain alert to monitor the welfare of passengers while on route
- check the school bus for sleeping children
- assist driver to safely direct the vehicle in backing safely, when necessary
- conduct emergency evacuation from the bus, including use of exiting by emergency door
