Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one year transit vehicle operation experience
- valid commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement
- medical examination certification
- ability to pass background check
- pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- provide professional references
- comply with city’s recordkeeping and safety policies
Job Qualifications
- completion of the twelfth grade or equivalent
- one year of experience operating a transit vehicle
- possession of a valid commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement
- valid medical examination certification
- ability to obtain Verification of Transit Training certificate within probationary period
Job Duties
- Operate public transit vehicles safely and reliably
- provide exceptional customer service to passengers
- assist passengers with special needs including wheelchair lifts
- conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- adhere to traffic laws and transit regulations
- maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness
- communicate effectively with passengers and team members
