Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Passing a DOT physical exam
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to safely operate buses in city and freeway traffic
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to assist passengers with disabilities
- Compliance with all transportation safety regulations
- Ability to perform pre-trip bus inspections
- Good communication skills
- Ability to make independent decisions based on safety and company policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to comply with all federal, state, and local transportation laws
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to operate bus equipment including farebox, lift, radio, and emergency equipment
- Experience driving buses or similar vehicles preferred
Job Duties
- Acts as front-line point of contact to ensure delivery of quality customer service
- Safely operates several types of buses through light to heavy city and freeway traffic safely and prudently
- Passengers are transported safely and courteously according to specified routes
- Complies with all federal, state, and local laws regarding bus operation, traffic, and safety
- Ensures the highest quality of bus service is delivered to our customers
- Assists customers in a safe, friendly, courteous, and helpful manner, including helping customers with disabilities on and off the wheelchair lift
- Promotes safety awareness and follows safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents
