Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age or older
- pass a DOT physical exam
- hold a valid commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- demonstrate ability to safely operate buses in urban and highway environments
- possess excellent customer service skills
- be physically capable of assisting passengers including those with disabilities
- pass background checks and drug screenings as required
- have the ability to comply with all safety and operational policies

Job Duties
- act as front-line point of contact to ensure delivery of quality customer service
- safely operate several types of buses through light to heavy city and freeway traffic
- transport passengers safely and courteously according to specified routes and designated stops
- comply with all federal, state, and local laws regarding bus operation, traffic, and safety
- assist customers in a safe, friendly, courteous, and helpful manner, including helping those with disabilities on and off the wheelchair lift
- promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents
- perform pre-trip bus inspections and complete required safety reports
- collect, process, and document fares and count passengers as required
- report and properly follow up on all accidents or unusual incidents involving company vehicles
- coordinate with dispatch for detour, accident, and incident information and follow instructions
- operate bus equipment such as farebox, lift, radio, emergency equipment, hatches, and rear engine compartment door safely
- make effective independent decisions and manage conflicts based on safety, experience, training, and policies
- comply with all company safety rules and customer service standards
- perform other duties as assigned
